Our consulting services help align organizational goals, people, tools and technology with best-practices in software processes to deliver measurable outcomes and benefits. Osellus Professional Services provides packaged services with predefined deliverables for a fixed price and delivers within a fixed time-period - all of which is defined upfront in the proposal. In order to make estimates more accurate, most services require initial scoping service.

Scoping includes initial discussion with the IT managers, process and project team leads to understand the existing process landscape of the organization. Starting with the understanding of your broader goals and constraints, our teams of consultants require one or two sessions to understand your process maturity and related issues in your organization with the goal of capturing detailed process requirements in light of business needs. All of this information is then used to develop a formal proposal highlighting various services that will meet your goals and objective. Process information is captured according to SPEM specifications and includes roles, skills, work products (or deliverables), guidance (templates, checklist, samples, techniques, guidelines, etc.), Work breakdown elements (Activities, Iterations, Phases, etc), workflow, etc. All this information is customized for your specific requirements. The new process created is delivered in several formats including process web-site (published), printed (Word/PDF) format as well as templates for MS-Project and Microsoft's Visual Studio Team System. Our consulting service is also geared and experienced to deliver custom interface for internal and other third-party tools used in your organization.

We tailor and assist project teams adopt methodologies such as IBM-RUP®, MSF™, Unified Process, PM-BOK and adopt frameworks ITIL, MOF™ and COBIT. All services outlined here can be specialized for such methodologies and frameworks. For example, Process Development service can be specialized to provide you with a tailored version of the Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF™) for CMMI Implementation based on your specific requirements and desired process maturity. In addition to development and enhancing your processes based on industry best practices, we also assist in aligning your processes to industry quality and control frameworks (CMMI, ISO, ITIL, COBIT, etc.).

Making Processes Real and Effective by Automation

We believe that greatest value lies in deploying the processes in effective and automated fashion wherever possible. Our services are geared to help you in the implementation of the redesigned processes by means of process automation. This combined with process enactment templates and tools, coupled with our process implementation services; help you implement the process in a logical, quick, cost-effective and automated manner.

  • All the services defined have been estimated for a defined process suitable for co-located 20-15 team size covering engineering and project management suitable for a CMMI Level 2 or equivalent (about 100-130 process elements).
  • All Process work is done using Software Process Engineering Metamodel (SPEM) from Object Management Group (http://www.omg.org/)
