ORLANDO, FL., 7 June 2005 - Today at the Microsoft Tech.Ed 2005 conference, Osellus, a leading provider of software process automation solutions, announced IRIS-on-Demand for MSF, a hosted application aimed at tailoring and deployment of both versions of MSF 4.0: MSF for Agile Software Development and MSF for CMMI Process Improvement. The offering extends the rich process modeling and tailoring capabilities of Osellus's IRIS on premises application to a much broader segment of the software development market in the form of a subscription-based service.

IRIS-on-Demand can be used to tailor MSF to any level. For example, light tailoring could be limited to extending some of the MSF process guidance, whereas extensive tailoring could involve creating new Roles, Work Products or Work Streams.
IRIS-on-Demand is offered on a per-user per-month basis. The basic offering includes the full contents of either MSF for Agile Software Development or MSF for CMMI Process Improvement. At any time during the subscription term, users can extend the basic service by selecting from a menu of low cost service options.

MSF processes tailored using IRIS-on-Demand can be deployed using the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team System in the form of a process template or exported to Microsoft Project in the form of a project template.

The version of the service aimed at MSF for Agile Software Development is available immediately and includes the latest beta version of MSF. The version of the service aimed at MSF for CMMI Process Improvement will have the same general availability as that version of MSF.
